Description
Low Carb Cauliflower Breadsticks are a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional breadsticks, made with riced cauliflower and cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 cups riced cauliflower (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- If using fresh cauliflower, chop it into florets and pulse in a food processor until it resembles rice. If using frozen, thaw and drain excess moisture.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the riced cauliflower, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, eggs, garlic powder, oregano, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
- Spread the cauliflower mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Cut into sticks and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
- For added flavor, mix in chopped herbs like parsley or thyme into the cauliflower mixture.
- Experiment with different cheeses, such as cheddar or pepper jack, for a unique twist on the flavor.
