These cookies are chewy, chocolatey, and nostalgic—best enjoyed with a cold glass of milk or a warm cup of cocoa!

Ingredients

For the Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup butter (or margarine), softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup (150g) packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups (125g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 3/4 cups (219g) all-purpose flour

For the Mix-Ins

  • 1 cup (170g) white chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup Lucky Charms marshmallows (separated from the cereal)

For Topping

  • Extra Lucky Charms marshmallows
  • Flaky salt

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheets

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.

Step 2: Cream Butter and Sugars

  1. Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium-high for 3-5 minutes until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract.

Step 3: Combine Dry Ingredients

  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together baking soda, salt, cocoa powder, and flour.
  2. Slowly add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

Step 4: Fold in the Magic

  1. Gently stir in white chocolate chunks and Lucky Charms marshmallows.

Step 5: Shape and Bake

  1. Scoop cookie dough onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  2. Flatten slightly for a smoother top and press extra marshmallows on top for decoration.
  3. Bake for 9-11 minutes, until edges are set but centers appear slightly underbaked.

Step 6: Cool and Serve

  1. Sprinkle flaky salt on top while cookies are warm.
  2. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
