Description

This irresistible Marry Me Shrimp Pasta features tender shrimp tossed in a rich, creamy sun-dried tomato sauce with Parmesan and fresh basil. Ready in just 30 minutes, it’s the perfect dreamy dinner to impress your loved ones — or simply treat yourself to an unforgettable meal.

Ingredients

12 oz linguine or pasta of your choice
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
½ cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes and chicken broth, scraping any browned bits from the pan, and bring to a simmer.
Pour in the heavy cream and let it gently simmer for 3–4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese and mix until fully melted and smooth.
Return the cooked shrimp and drained pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together to coat evenly in the creamy sauce.
Garnish with freshly chopped basil and serve immediately for the best flavor.

Notes

You can substitute half-and-half for heavy cream for a lighter version, though the sauce will be slightly less rich.
If you prefer a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes or add a splash of hot sauce.
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese melts better and gives a superior creamy texture compared to pre-shredded varieties.
Sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil offer more flavor; if using dry-packed ones, rehydrate them in hot water for a few minutes first.
This dish pairs beautifully with a simple green salad or garlic bread on the side.
