Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, feta cheese, parsley, onion, garlic, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Crack the egg into the mixture and mix everything together until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should get around 8 patties.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Once the oil is hot, add the patties to the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  6. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the patties are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the skillet and let them rest on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.

Notes

  • For added flavor, try mixing in some chopped sun-dried tomatoes or olives into the patty mixture.
