Description

A delicious and creamy recipe for Chicken Alfredo Stuffed Shells, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Spread 1 cup of Alfredo sauce evenly on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the chicken and cheese mixture and place them in the baking dish, open side up.
  6. Pour the remaining Alfredo sauce over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well covered.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of the shells.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute the Alfredo sauce with a homemade white sauce or a low-fat alternative.
  • Add sautéed spinach or mushrooms to the chicken mixture for extra flavor and nutrition.
