A delicious and creamy recipe for Chicken Alfredo Stuffed Shells, perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 20 jumbo pasta shells
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups Alfredo sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spread 1 cup of Alfredo sauce evenly on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the chicken and cheese mixture and place them in the baking dish, open side up.
- Pour the remaining Alfredo sauce over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are well covered.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of the shells.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute the Alfredo sauce with a homemade white sauce or a low-fat alternative.
- Add sautéed spinach or mushrooms to the chicken mixture for extra flavor and nutrition.
