Description

Delicious molten caramel brownie bombs that are rich and gooey, perfect for chocolate lovers.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stovetop. Once melted, add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, stirring until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of brownie batter into each muffin cup, followed by 1 teaspoon of caramel sauce in the center. Top with another tablespoon of brownie batter, covering the caramel completely.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of each brownie bomb.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Serve warm for the molten center effect. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a salted caramel version, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of the caramel before adding the brownie batter.
  • Try adding chopped nuts or crushed cookies to the brownie batter for added texture and flavor.
