Description
Delicious molten caramel brownie bombs that are rich and gooey, perfect for chocolate lovers.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.
- In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stovetop. Once melted, add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, stirring until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of brownie batter into each muffin cup, followed by 1 teaspoon of caramel sauce in the center. Top with another tablespoon of brownie batter, covering the caramel completely.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of each brownie bomb.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Serve warm for the molten center effect. Enjoy!
Notes
- For a salted caramel version, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of the caramel before adding the brownie batter.
- Try adding chopped nuts or crushed cookies to the brownie batter for added texture and flavor.
