Description
A festive and delicious No-Bake Christmas Lasagna that is perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup cooked and crumbled Italian sausage (optional)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, half of the chopped spinach, and half of the crumbled sausage (if using). Add another layer of marinara sauce on top.
- Repeat the layering process with another 4 noodles, the remaining ricotta mixture, the remaining spinach, and the remaining sausage. Top with the last 4 noodles and the remaining marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of the lasagna.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, preheat the oven to 350°F. Remove the plastic wrap and bake the lasagna for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, omit the sausage and add more vegetables like zucchini or bell peppers.
- Add a layer of ricotta mixed with a bit of lemon zest for a refreshing twist.
