Description
A delicious and creamy Nutella Banana Pudding that combines the rich flavors of Nutella with fresh bananas and vanilla wafers.
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 3 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 package (12 oz) vanilla wafers
- Whipped cream, for topping
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, sugar, cornstarch, and salt over medium heat. Continue whisking until the mixture begins to thicken and bubble, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and Nutella until fully combined and smooth.
- In a 9×13 inch dish, layer half of the vanilla wafers on the bottom.
- Add half of the sliced bananas over the wafers, followed by half of the Nutella pudding mixture.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining wafers, bananas, and pudding.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream and additional banana slices if desired.
Notes
- For a crunchier texture, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips between the layers.
- Substitute almond milk or coconut milk for a dairy-free version, and use dairy-free whipped topping.
