Description

Indulge in this creamy Oreo Fudge Cheesecake, a delightful dessert that combines the rich flavors of chocolate and cream cheese with a crunchy Oreo crust.

Ingredients

  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 Oreo cookies, chopped
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Stir in the sour cream and heavy cream until smooth. Gently fold in the chopped Oreo cookies.
  6. Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust in the springform pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  8. Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. For the fudge topping, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
  11. Allow to cool slightly before pouring over the chilled cheesecake.
  12. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a more intense chocolate flavor, add cocoa powder to the cheesecake filling (about 1/4 cup) before mixing in the eggs.
  • Top the cheesecake with whipped cream and additional crushed Oreos for a decorative finish.
