Ingredients

For the Meat Layer:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Parmesan Garlic Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups (480 ml) whole milk
  • 1 cup (100 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Additional Layers:

  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 cups (200 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) ricotta cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meat Layer:
    • Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
    • Stir in diced onion, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
    • Cook for another 3-5 minutes until the onions soften.
    • Add crumbled bacon, mix well, and set aside.
  2. Make the Parmesan Garlic Sauce:
    • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
    • Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    • Slowly pour in milk, whisking until smooth and thickened.
    • Stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until creamy. Set aside.
  3. Cook the Lasagna Noodles:
    • Boil a large pot of salted water.
    • Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and lay flat.
  4. Assemble the Lasagna:
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Spread a thin layer of Parmesan garlic sauce in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
    • Add 1/3 of the meat mixture, 1/3 of the Parmesan garlic sauce, and 1/3 of the shredded cheeses.
    • Repeat layers two more times, finishing with extra cheese on top.
  5. Bake to Golden Perfection:
    • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
    • Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
    • Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  6. Garnish & Serve:
