A festive recipe for Patriotic Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups, perfect for celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin or line it with cupcake liners.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and half of the sprinkles.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough into each muffin cup, pressing it down slightly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, top each cookie cup with the remaining sprinkles for a festive touch.
Notes
- For a fun twist, substitute half of the chocolate chips with white chocolate chips or peanut butter chips.
- To make these cookie cups even more festive, add a dollop of whipped cream or frosting on top before serving.
