Description
A deliciously rich and gooey cake made with creamy peanut butter, perfect for peanut butter lovers.
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and sugar. Mix until well combined and smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped peanuts, if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a swirl of chocolate or caramel sauce on top before baking.
- Substitute almond butter or sunflower seed butter for a different nutty flavor or to accommodate nut allergies.
