Description

Pecan Pie Brownies are a delicious dessert that combines the rich flavors of brownies with the sweet, nutty taste of pecan pie.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined. Add the 4 eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 2 eggs. Whisk until smooth. Pour this mixture over the brownie batter in the pan.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
  • You can also substitute walnuts for pecans if you prefer a different nut.
  • For a festive touch, drizzle melted chocolate over the top before serving.
