Description
Pecan Pie Brownies are a delicious dessert that combines the rich flavors of brownies with the sweet, nutty taste of pecan pie.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined. Add the 4 eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 2 eggs. Whisk until smooth. Pour this mixture over the brownie batter in the pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
- You can also substitute walnuts for pecans if you prefer a different nut.
- For a festive touch, drizzle melted chocolate over the top before serving.
