Description
Philly Cheesesteak Pasta is a creamy and delicious dish that combines the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak with pasta for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
- 8 ounces sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the thinly sliced sirloin steak to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce, cooking for an additional minute.
- Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Stir in the cooked penne pasta and half of the provolone cheese, mixing until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle the remaining provolone cheese on top. Cover the skillet with a lid for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or a dairy-free alternative.
- Add sliced mushrooms or jalapeños for extra flavor and texture.
