Description

Philly Cheesesteak Pasta is a creamy and delicious dish that combines the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak with pasta for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
  • 8 ounces sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the thinly sliced sirloin steak to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce, cooking for an additional minute.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  5. Stir in the cooked penne pasta and half of the provolone cheese, mixing until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle the remaining provolone cheese on top. Cover the skillet with a lid for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or a dairy-free alternative.
  • Add sliced mushrooms or jalapeños for extra flavor and texture.
