  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Mix until well combined and the batter is smooth. Spread this mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add in the 2 eggs, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, chopped pistachios, and salt. Mix until fully combined and creamy.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter in the pan, spreading it evenly.
