Description

A quick and delicious stir fry featuring tender pork and crisp cabbage, perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced pork and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the pork is browned and cooked through. Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the shredded cabbage and bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  5. Return the cooked pork to the skillet. Pour in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños during the stir-fry.
  • You can substitute the pork with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
