Description
A quick and delicious stir fry featuring tender pork and crisp cabbage, perfect for a weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
- 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced pork and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the pork is browned and cooked through. Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the shredded cabbage and bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- Return the cooked pork to the skillet. Pour in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños during the stir-fry.
- You can substitute the pork with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
