Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Pumpkin Magic Custard Cake that combines the flavors of pumpkin and spices for a delightful dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Add the melted butter, milk, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once cooled, dust the top with powdered sugar if desired. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, substitute half of the milk with heavy cream.
  • Add chocolate chips or nuts to the batter for extra texture and flavor.
