Ingredients

Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, eggs, vegetable oil, red food coloring, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
