Description
Root Beer Float Pie is a nostalgic dessert that combines the classic flavors of root beer and vanilla ice cream in a creamy pie form, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 pre-made graham cracker pie crust (9 inches)
- 1 cup root beer
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream, softened
- 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Maraschino cherries, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the root beer and instant vanilla pudding mix until well combined. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to thicken.
- In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the softened vanilla ice cream and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Carefully fold the root beer mixture into the ice cream mixture until fully incorporated.
- Pour the filling into the pre-made graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly.
- Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream and garnish with maraschino cherries if desired.
Notes
- For a chocolate twist, use chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla.
- Add crushed root beer barrel candies on top for extra flavor and crunch.
