A delicious and refreshing chopped salad inspired by Ruth’s Chris, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup iceberg lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup cucumber, diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup blue cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup green bell pepper, diced
- 1/4 cup black olives, sliced
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing (or dressing of your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, bacon, blue cheese, shredded carrots, green bell pepper, and black olives.
- Drizzle the ranch dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine all ingredients evenly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- For best flavor, let the salad chill in the refrigerator for about 15-30 minutes before serving.
- Serve immediately after chilling, or keep in the fridge for up to 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute the ranch dressing with a vinaigrette or yogurt-based dressing.
