Description

Salted Caramel Brownie Cheesecake is a decadent dessert that combines rich brownie layers with creamy cheesecake and a drizzle of salted caramel.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
  3. In a large bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter over the cooled crust.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the sour cream and heavy cream, mixing until well combined.
  7. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer in the pan. Top with the remaining brownie batter.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  9. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  11. Before serving, drizzle the cheesecake with caramel sauce and sprinkle with sea salt.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
  • You can also substitute the caramel sauce with chocolate ganache for a different twist.
