Ingredients
- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
- 4 cups green cabbage, chopped
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5-10 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.
- If using, add the soy sauce and apple cider vinegar, stirring to combine. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
Notes
- For added flavor, try using different types of sausage, such as Italian or chorizo.
- You can also toss in other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for extra color and nutrition.
