Description
A delicious and flavorful steak recipe infused with bourbon and garlic, perfect for a special dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ribeye steak
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat your grill or a heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
- Generously season the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Drizzle olive oil into the skillet or brush it onto the grill.
- Once hot, place the steak on the surface and sear for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side for a medium-rare finish.
- Transfer the steak to a plate and allow it to rest for 5 minutes.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the chopped garlic. Sauté for about a minute until aromatic.
- Gradually pour in the bourbon, scraping up any flavorful bits stuck to the pan.
- Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until it reduces slightly.
- Incorporate the heavy whipping cream, whole grain mustard, and soy sauce into the mixture.
- Allow the sauce to simmer gently for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.
- Slice the rested steak against the grain into thick pieces and arrange them on a serving platter.
- Spoon the bourbon-infused garlic sauce over the steak and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- Adjust the cooking time based on your preferred steak doneness.
- Make sure not to let the garlic brown to avoid bitterness.
- This dish pairs well with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
