Description
A delicious and healthy stir-fry featuring tender meat, fresh vegetables, and savory garlic flavors.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 pound boneless chicken breast or beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small head green cabbage, shredded (about 4 cups)
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
- 1 medium carrot, julienned
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced meat and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the meat from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the shredded cabbage, sliced bell pepper, and julienned carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- Return the cooked meat to the skillet. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and ground black pepper. Stir well to combine and heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute the meat with tofu or tempeh.
- Add a splash of rice vinegar or a pinch of red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
