Description

A refreshing seafood salad made with shrimp and crab meat, perfect for a light meal or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound cooked crab meat, flaked
  • 1 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced (any color)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce leaves for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, crab meat, celery, red onion, bell pepper, and parsley.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the seafood mixture and gently toss until everything is well coated.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve the seafood salad on a bed of lettuce leaves or in sandwich rolls, if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the dressing.
  • Substitute the shrimp and crab with canned tuna or salmon for a different flavor profile.
