Description
A refreshing seafood salad made with shrimp and crab meat, perfect for a light meal or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 pound cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound cooked crab meat, flaked
- 1 cup celery, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced (any color)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lettuce leaves for serving
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked shrimp, crab meat, celery, red onion, bell pepper, and parsley.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the seafood mixture and gently toss until everything is well coated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve the seafood salad on a bed of lettuce leaves or in sandwich rolls, if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the dressing.
- Substitute the shrimp and crab with canned tuna or salmon for a different flavor profile.
