A simple and delicious slow cooker recipe for balsamic shredded beef using just four ingredients.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Instructions
- Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the balsamic vinegar, beef broth, and brown sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
- Pour the balsamic mixture over the beef in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Once cooked, remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the sauce.
- Serve warm, and enjoy!
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding 1 teaspoon of garlic powder or onion powder to the balsamic mixture.
- Serve the shredded beef on sandwich rolls or over rice for a hearty meal.
