- 1 cup BBQ sauce, your favorite brand
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F. Line a baking dish with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until well mixed.
- Add the cut hot dog pieces to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the sauce mixture.
- Transfer the coated hot dog pieces to the prepared baking dish, spreading them out in a single layer.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
- After 1 hour, remove the foil and stir the hot dog pieces. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize and the edges to get crispy.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, try using spicy BBQ sauce or adding a teaspoon of cayenne pepper for some heat.
- You can also substitute turkey or chicken hot dogs for a lighter option.
