Description
A quick and easy recipe for S’mores Rice Krispies Treats that combines the classic flavors of s’mores with the beloved Rice Krispies treat.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (for topping)
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
- Stir in the graham cracker crumbs until well combined.
- Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the mixture and gently fold until all the cereal is coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Press the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, using a spatula or your hands (dampened with water to prevent sticking) to flatten it evenly.
- Sprinkle the mini marshmallows on top and gently press them into the mixture.
- Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a drizzle of melted chocolate on top before serving.
- You can also substitute the chocolate chips with peanut butter chips for a different twist.
