Description

Snickers Cake is an indulgent dessert that combines rich chocolate cake with creamy peanut butter and Snickers bars, topped with chocolate frosting.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped Snickers bars (about 45 bars)
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  4. Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth (the batter will be thin).
  5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from the pans and transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  8. In a medium bowl, mix the peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  9. Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until well combined.
  10. Once the cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving plate. Spread half of the peanut butter mixture over the top. Sprinkle half of the chopped Snickers bars on top.
  11. Place the second cake layer on top and spread the remaining peanut butter mixture over it. Top with the remaining chopped Snickers bars.
  12. Finally, spread the chocolate frosting over the entire cake.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of espresso powder to the cake batter.
  • Substitute the chocolate frosting with a homemade ganache for a more decadent finish.
