Description
Snickers Cake is an indulgent dessert that combines rich chocolate cake with creamy peanut butter and Snickers bars, topped with chocolate frosting.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped Snickers bars (about 4–5 bars)
- 1 cup chocolate frosting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Carefully stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth (the batter will be thin).
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from the pans and transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, mix the peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until well combined.
- Once the cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving plate. Spread half of the peanut butter mixture over the top. Sprinkle half of the chopped Snickers bars on top.
- Place the second cake layer on top and spread the remaining peanut butter mixture over it. Top with the remaining chopped Snickers bars.
- Finally, spread the chocolate frosting over the entire cake.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of espresso powder to the cake batter.
- Substitute the chocolate frosting with a homemade ganache for a more decadent finish.
