Description
A delicious and easy recipe for Spicy Chicken and String Beans Stir-Fry, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 pound fresh string beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon chili paste (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken pieces with soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, chili paste, sugar, and black pepper. Mix well and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the trimmed string beans to the skillet and stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the string beans and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken with tofu or tempeh.
