Description
A delicious and savory Spinach and Cheddar Quiche perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pie crust (9-inch, store-bought or homemade)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup bell pepper, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. If using a store-bought pie crust, place it in a 9-inch pie dish and prick the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling. If using homemade, roll it out and fit it into the dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined. Stir in the garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Layer the chopped spinach, diced tomato, onion, and bell pepper evenly over the pie crust.
- Pour the egg mixture over the vegetables, ensuring they are evenly coated. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set in the center and lightly golden on top. A knife inserted in the center should come out clean.
- Let the quiche cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the whole milk and use low-fat cheese.
- You can also add cooked bacon or sausage for extra flavor.
- For a vegetarian option, replace the cheese with a dairy-free alternative and add more vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms.
