Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 pound ground beef, pork, or chicken
- 4 cups bok choy, chopped (about 1 pound)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the chopped bok choy to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until it begins to wilt.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute the ground meat with crumbled tofu or tempeh.
- Add a splash of rice vinegar for a tangy kick or toss in some sliced bell peppers for added color and crunch.
