Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 pound ground beef, pork, or chicken
- 4 cups bok choy, chopped (about 1 pound)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the chopped bok choy to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bok choy is tender but still crisp.
- Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using), stirring well to combine. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute the ground meat with crumbled tofu or tempeh and adjust cooking times accordingly.
- Add a splash of rice vinegar or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for an extra kick of flavor.
