Description
A delicious and easy-to-make dessert that combines the flavors of strawberry pie and cheesecake in a simple dump cake format.
Ingredients
- 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- Fresh strawberries (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly on the bottom of the dish.
- In a medium bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- Drop spoonfuls of this mixture over the strawberry layer.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the cream cheese and strawberry layers.
- Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix (try to cover as much of the dry mix as possible).
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and slightly crispy.
- Allow to cool for about 15 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries for extra flavor and presentation.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider using fresh strawberries in addition to the pie filling.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
