Description

A delicious and layered dessert featuring creamy cheesecake and fresh strawberries, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup additional strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Toss gently and let sit for about 10 minutes to macerate.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, mixing until the crumbs are evenly coated.
  5. To assemble the trifle, start by layering half of the graham cracker mixture in the bottom of a large trifle dish or individual serving glasses.
  6. Add half of the cream cheese mixture on top of the graham cracker layer, followed by half of the macerated strawberries.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining graham cracker mixture, cream cheese mixture, and strawberries.
  8. Top with additional whipped cream if desired and garnish with the reserved strawberries.
  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute the heavy cream with Greek yogurt.
  • You can also add a layer of chocolate shavings or use blueberries instead of strawberries for a different flavor profile.
