Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup strawberry pie filling (optional for extra flavor)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and granulated sugar. Toss to coat and let sit for about 15 minutes to release their juices.
- In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
- In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
- In a small bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and cinnamon until the crumbs are evenly coated.
- To assemble the trifle, start with a layer of graham cracker mixture at the bottom of a large glass bowl or individual serving cups.
- Add a layer of the cream cheese mixture, followed by a layer of strawberries.
- If using, add a layer of strawberry pie filling.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream and a few strawberries on top.
- Refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute the heavy cream with Greek yogurt.
