Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup strawberry pie filling (optional for extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and granulated sugar. Toss to coat and let sit for about 15 minutes to release their juices.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and cinnamon until the crumbs are evenly coated.
  6. To assemble the trifle, start with a layer of graham cracker mixture at the bottom of a large glass bowl or individual serving cups.
  7. Add a layer of the cream cheese mixture, followed by a layer of strawberries.
  8. If using, add a layer of strawberry pie filling.
  9. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream and a few strawberries on top.
  10. Refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
