Description
Strawberry Cracker Pudding is a delightful dessert made with layers of graham crackers, fresh strawberries, and a creamy mixture, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces graham crackers (about 1 1/2 sleeves)
- 1/2 cup whipped cream (for topping)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Toss gently and let them sit for about 15 minutes to release their juices.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, remaining sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined and slightly thickened.
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the graham crackers at the bottom.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the graham crackers, followed by half of the strawberries. Repeat the layers with the remaining graham crackers, cream mixture, and strawberries.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results. This allows the graham crackers to soften and absorb the flavors.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream and additional sliced strawberries if desired.
Notes
- For a twist, try using different berries such as blueberries or raspberries instead of strawberries.
- You can also add a layer of chocolate pudding between the layers for a chocolate-strawberry combination.
