Description
A delightful and refreshing dessert combining layers of vanilla pudding, fresh bananas, strawberries, and crunchy toppings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups vanilla pudding mix
- 4 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 1 cup crushed vanilla wafers
- 1 cup crushed freeze-dried strawberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to thicken.
- In a separate bowl, combine the sliced bananas and fresh strawberries. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and salt, then gently toss to coat the fruit.
- Fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture until well combined.
- In a large serving dish or individual cups, layer half of the pudding mixture, followed by half of the banana and strawberry mixture, and half of the crushed vanilla wafers. Repeat the layers with the remaining pudding, fruit, and crushed wafers.
- Top the final layer with crushed freeze-dried strawberries for added crunch and flavor.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the pudding to set.
Notes
- For a chocolate twist, use chocolate pudding mix instead of vanilla.
- Add a layer of chopped nuts or granola for extra crunch and texture.
