Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup strawberry pie filling
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in 1 cup of whipped topping until well incorporated.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust.
  4. Layer the sliced strawberries over the cream cheese mixture, then spoon the strawberry pie filling over the strawberries, spreading it evenly.
  5. Top with the remaining whipped topping, spreading it to cover the pie filling completely.
  6. If desired, sprinkle sliced almonds on top for added crunch.
  7. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  8. Slice into squares and serve chilled.
