Description

A delightful twist on traditional cheesecake featuring a crunchy pretzel crust and fresh strawberries.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups crushed pretzels
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • ¼ cup strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
  6. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  7. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  8. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
  9. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
  11. Once the cheesecake is set, arrange the sliced strawberries on top.
  12. In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the strawberry jam until it becomes liquid.
  13. Drizzle the warm jam over the strawberries for a glossy finish.
  14. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a chocolate twist, consider drizzling melted chocolate over the top before serving.
  • You can also substitute the strawberries with blueberries or raspberries for a different flavor profile.
