Description

A simple and delicious recipe for String Bean Chicken Breast, featuring tender chicken and fresh string beans in a flavorful sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups fresh string beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked white rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, water, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  4. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add the string beans to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, until they are tender-crisp.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and string beans, stirring to coat everything evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Serve hot over cooked white rice.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the soy sauce mixture for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • You can substitute the string beans with broccoli or bell peppers for a different vegetable option.
