Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh string beans, trimmed
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
- Add the trimmed string beans to the skillet and stir-fry for another 5-7 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
- Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using), stirring to coat the vegetables evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Drizzle with sesame oil, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For added protein, consider adding cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu to the stir-fry.
