Description
A delicious recipe guide for making Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Pizza with a cheesy crust and flavorful toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 4 ounces pepperoni slices
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, cubed (for the stuffed crust)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a large circle, about 14 inches in diameter.
- Place the cubed mozzarella cheese around the edge of the dough, leaving about an inch of space from the edge.
- Fold the edge of the dough over the cheese and press down to seal, creating a stuffed crust.
- Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by the pepperoni slices.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Brush this mixture over the crust for added flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes on top of the pepperoni.
- Try different cheeses for the stuffed crust, such as cheddar or provolone, for a unique flavor twist.
