Ingredients
- Extra-firm tofu (1 block, 400 g, pressed to remove excess water)
- Olive oil (1 tbsp)
- Cornstarch (1 tbsp)
- Nutritional yeast (1 tbsp)
- Paprika (1 tsp)
- Garlic powder (1 tsp)
- Onion powder (1 tsp)
- Salt (¼ tsp)
- Black pepper (¼ tsp)
- Non-stick spray (as needed)
Instructions
- Press the Tofu: Wrap tofu in a clean kitchen towel, place a heavy object on top, and press for 10–15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spray lightly with non-stick spray.
- Prepare Seasoning Mix: Combine cornstarch, nutritional yeast, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix well.
- Cut and Coat Tofu: Cut tofu into bite-sized cubes. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat. Sprinkle with seasoning mix and toss until evenly coated.
- Bake: Spread tofu cubes on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.
Serve: Let cool slightly and enjoy as a snack, in salads, or as a topping for your favorite dishes

- Make it Oil-Free: Skip olive oil and use a non-stick baking mat for a lower-fat option.
