Description
A quick and tasty recipe for Surf and Turf Foil Packs featuring shrimp and sirloin steak, perfect for grilling.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 cups baby potatoes, halved
- 1 cup corn kernels (fresh or frozen)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, steak, baby potatoes, and corn. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until well coated.
- Cut four large pieces of aluminum foil (about 12×12 inches each). Divide the mixture evenly among the foil pieces, placing it in the center of each piece.
- Fold the sides of the foil over the mixture, then fold the ends to seal the packets tightly.
- Place the foil packs on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness and the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Carefully remove the foil packs from the grill and let them sit for a few minutes before opening. Be cautious of steam when unwrapping.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the mixture.
- Substitute the sirloin steak with chicken breast or tofu for a different protein option. Adjust cooking times as needed.
