Description

These air fryer salmon bites are irresistibly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, tossed in a spicy-sweet hot honey glaze that brings the perfect balance of heat and sweetness. Quick, flavorful, and packed with protein and omega-3s, they make a mouthwatering appetizer or easy main dish.

Ingredients

For the Salmon Bites
1 1/2 pounds salmon, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For the Hot Honey Glaze
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
1/4 cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)

For Garnish
Fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

Air Fryer Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add salmon pieces and gently toss until evenly coated.

  3. Place salmon cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed.

  4. Air fry for 9 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Salmon is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 140–145°F.

  5. While salmon cooks, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in hot honey and warm through.

  6. Once cooked, toss salmon bites in the hot honey glaze.

  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Oven Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Spread seasoned salmon cubes evenly on the sheet and bake for 16 minutes, flipping halfway through. Ensure internal temp reaches 145°F.

  3. Toss baked salmon in hot honey glaze and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For homemade hot honey, mix honey with a dash of red pepper flakes or your favorite hot sauce.
Use skinless salmon for best results and even browning.
Perfect served over rice, salads, or as a protein-packed snack or appetizer.
Air frying yields a crispier finish, but both methods are delicious.
