Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, melted butter, and brown sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
- In a separate bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, chopped pecans, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the chocolate chips are evenly distributed.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly firm.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting into bars.
- For best results, chill the bars in the refrigerator for an hour before serving to enhance the chewy texture.
Notes
- For a salted caramel twist, drizzle melted caramel sauce over the top before serving.
- Substitute walnuts or almonds for pecans if you prefer a different nut flavor.
