Description

Sweet Chewy Turtle Bars are a delicious dessert combining graham cracker crust, chocolate, and pecans for a chewy and rich treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, melted butter, and brown sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, chopped pecans, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the chocolate chips are evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the chocolate mixture over the crust, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly firm.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting into bars.
  8. For best results, chill the bars in the refrigerator for an hour before serving to enhance the chewy texture.
