Description
A delicious Sweet and Savory Pork Stir-Fry that combines tender pork with fresh vegetables and a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup snap peas
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Cooked white rice or noodles, for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the sliced pork, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the red and green bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Add the garlic and ginger to the skillet and stir-fry for another minute until fragrant.
- Return the cooked pork to the skillet. In a small bowl, mix together the chicken broth, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Pour this sauce over the pork and vegetables, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and the sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve the stir-fry over cooked white rice or noodles.
Notes
- For added heat, include sliced jalapeños or a dash of red pepper flakes.
- Substitute the pork with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
