Description
A creamy and flavorful Thai peanut sauce perfect for salads, dips, or marinades.
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup water (more if needed for consistency)
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, coconut milk, honey or maple syrup, rice vinegar, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.
- Gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, whisking until you reach your desired consistency. The sauce should be creamy but pourable.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more lime juice for acidity or more honey for sweetness.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to one week. If refrigerated, stir well before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier sauce, add more red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha.
- Use this sauce as a dressing for salads, a dip for fresh veggies, or a marinade for grilled chicken or tofu.
