Description

A creamy and flavorful Thai peanut sauce perfect for salads, dips, or marinades.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup water (more if needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, coconut milk, honey or maple syrup, rice vinegar, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.
  3. Gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, whisking until you reach your desired consistency. The sauce should be creamy but pourable.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more lime juice for acidity or more honey for sweetness.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to one week. If refrigerated, stir well before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier sauce, add more red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha.
  • Use this sauce as a dressing for salads, a dip for fresh veggies, or a marinade for grilled chicken or tofu.
