The Ultimate Caramel Brownie Pie is a decadent dessert that combines rich brownie flavors with a luscious caramel swirl, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pie pan, spreading it evenly. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and finish with the rest of the caramel sauce, swirling it gently with a knife for a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Allow the pie to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- For an extra indulgent treat, add a layer of crushed Oreos or graham crackers at the bottom before adding the brownie batter.
