Description

The Ultimate Caramel Brownie Pie is a decadent dessert that combines rich brownie flavors with a luscious caramel swirl, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pie pan, spreading it evenly. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter.
  7. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and finish with the rest of the caramel sauce, swirling it gently with a knife for a marbled effect.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  9. Allow the pie to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • For an extra indulgent treat, add a layer of crushed Oreos or graham crackers at the bottom before adding the brownie batter.
  • Substitute the caramel sauce with peanut butter or Nutella for a different flavor twist.
